Everyone who is entitled to benefit, should get it. However you may be confused by the complicated rules and are perhaps worried that you may commit a benefit fraud by mistake. What is benefit fraud?
Benefit fraud is very simply the criminal act of knowingly claiming Housing, Council Tax or Social Security benefits to which there is reduced or no entitlement.

The Council exceeded its 2010/11 target of 44 prosecutions and sanctions for benefit fraud, achieving 58, an increase of 14 on the previous year.
