- Contemporarywriters is a unique, searchable database which contains up-to-date profiles of some of the UK and Commonwealth's most important living writers - their biographies, bibliographies, critical reviews, prizes and photographs. You can search these profiles by author, genre, nationality, gender, publisher, book title, date of publication and prize name and date. Also included are writers from the Republic of Ireland that the British Council has worked with.
