The Fisher Theatre
10 Broad Street, Bungay, Suffolk NR35 1EE
Bungay's Fisher Theatre re-opened last October for the first time since 1844 after a £1.5m refurbishment. As well as becoming a 'must go' entertainment venue it can now offer three state-of-the-art conference spaces.
Situated in the heart of Bungay, the Fisher is a quiet and remarkable venue for conferences, training, seminars and workshops. The Trustees of the Charity - whose profits all go back into this Community project - feel that this unique building has a great deal to offer businesses, voluntary organisations and public sector managers from across Suffolk and beyond. Bungay has easy car access and the Theatre has good local parking.
'The Gallery': a light, airy room on the first floor offering space for up to 50 delegates. It has been sympathetically restored to retain many original features whilst also offering the latest conference facilities including: interactive technology with broadband, DVD and VCR projection equipment (including full blackout facility).
'The Auditorium': a fully flexible space ideal for larger conferences, presentations, AGMs, training sessions or product launches. It can offer racked seating for 130 with full stage and screening facilities or easy conversion into an open area with table seating for 150.
'The Pit Room': this quirky and intimate space seats up to 50. It is where the real history of the building lives - original brick floor and soft lighting make it the ideal place for events that require that little bit of extra excitement and atmosphere.
Fisher's Cafe and Wine Bar: our relaxing café/bar also provides full catering facilities for all events from light refreshments to a full lunch menu prepared by the Fisher's own chef.
Prices: available on request but room rates range from £60 for a half day to £350 for the full Auditorium.
